I will have everyone make their Agents at the following rank and starting XP value (which is 2 more level-ups after you first hit Veteran).

Rank: Veteran
Starting XP: 50

Here are couple things to think about when creating an Agent for the next mission.

1. Is your agent well rounded enough to overcome many obstacles?

2. Is your agent a one trick pony? Is your agent designed to be awesome at one thing and that’s it?

3. Is your agent a leader, support specialist, or rogue?

4. Is your agent adept with hand-to-hand, melee, or ranged weapons, or some combination?

5. Is your agent a team player? Can you help out when your team needs you?

6. Is your agent smart? What areas is your agent smart in?

7. Is your agent willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good?

A quick snipit for those playing Agents in the Winter session.

"When darkness falls and evil begins to seep through man’s grip on reality, ever growing to devour the masters that brought forth their existence, a choice will need to be made that day. That day… is Judgment Day!"

I'm guessing the mission is called Judgment Day?

The team geared up after receiving their mission Intel. Three deliveries of unknown origin and composition are to be delivered to three very specific sites. The first is right in the heart of Washington DC, the others Madrid, Spain and London, England. Setting out in a black SUV, the team heads over to their first location, the Ministry of Science building. Upon closer inspection, the building is closed temporarily. Performing a quick surveillance around the perimeter of the building, the team decides to cause some sort of a diversion while others break into the side door. Kinetic makes his way around to the front and begins to smile back at the others. “I got this.” Cueing in on a row of parked cars out front, he begins to concentrate on a half dozen of them. Suddenly the cars begin to shutter and bounce as Kinetic uses his telekinesis power and rocks them just enough to set their car alarms off. The sound is almost deafening, but more importantly, a major distraction. Just then, Omniglot gets to work and makes quick work of the door lock. Slipping in, the team finds themselves inside. Making a bee line for the loading docks, the team finds a tube package that has a ticking sound followed by an air hiss. Opening the UPS package, they find what looks like a ticking time bomb of C4, wired to not just one electronic detonator, but an air piston one as well. With help, the team takes over a minute to disengage the twin detonators connecting the C4, leaving only 37 seconds left on the electronic timer. Pulling out the four pounds of C4, they are shocked to find a scrolled up letter wrapped within the tube. Their eyes widen as they read the parable signed by Damien Ashburner, and then realize a small row of numbers on the backside of the parchment. This is the team’s first welcome to a highly dangerous and cryptic mission.

Letter:

Far too long have broods of fecund soil been sown, their lacking adulation to those atop an ancient throne. A Cacophony over lawful rights shall be laid to rest, as divine influences from modern mystics begin to crest. Hallowed smoky shades shall rise from their crypts once more, infinitely spreading like a disease upon every bloodstained shore. Stability of power shall swiftly converse, as man’s ideology and arrogance remain his curse. With superior gen to manifest miracles from sunless rays, all shall fall upon another judgment day.

So it shall be written. So it shall be done.

Damien Ashburner

Anderson, When going over Agent Nightshade, I see you took 8 equipment items for 2 Resource Points and Emergency Evac and Emergency Contact. Are these both Perks or is the Emergecy Contact a Spytech/Training. If they are Perks, you still have 2 Resource Points left. If the contact is a Spytech/Training, you have 1 Resource Point left I think. Please clarrify.

Youknow I need some clarrification on your agent's gear as well. I thought you took 2 Stimpacks but didn't list on your sheet. That would leave you with left over resource points unless they were for special arrows. Please let me know your gear as well. Thanks. Cool

After a brief encounter with a potential mail order bomb, the team splits up and makes their way to the airport, but this time with a new agent in tow. Agent Badger has been officially assigned to help out with the team’s mission due to the earlier altercation with four pounds of C4. The day goes uneventful as they fly to their destinations many hundreds of miles apart from one another. Agents Badger, Kinetic and Stuntman arrive in London where Kinetic drives the three-man squad to their location. A quick survey of the area reveals only a receptionist in the lobby. Small talk begins where the team learns that they arrived at the golden magic hour of noon tea time, a British custom. Waiting till the receptionist leaves the building, Stuntman advances towards the front door and makes quick work of the door lock with his thieves picks. The rest of the team moves in after him. Locating the mail room, they discover a similar package. Looking at each other, they hand the potential package to Agent Badger who pops the top off the tubular mail carrier. A Tick…Hiss…Bloop sounds from the canister. Badger’s eyes bulge as he sees a triple detonation devise wired to another four pounds of plastic explosives. Pulling out his demolitions kit, he makes it look all too easy as the seconds tick away. With a quick thrust of his probe, he dislodges the last water detonator and takes a little sip of the salty liquid with the other two agents looking on in disbelief. One down and one to go.

Meanwhile

The other three Agents, Omniglot, Nightshade and Ursa try and survey the surroundings in Madrid Spain. A quick drive and they finally arrive at their destination. Not wanting to waste time, they make a quick round-about of the building. Ursa sees a small break in the building’s structure where no one will detect him. Summoning all his power from within, he visualizes a small reptile and begins the painstaking act of transforming into one. Climbing the brick walls, he detects a ventilation duct on top and ventures inside, dropping down to what appears to be the mail room. Just then, Omniglot and Nightshade enter in with a disguised package they fooled the lone receptionist with and shut the door behind them. Almost stepping on Urza, he emerges back into his human form while the others look through the piles of mail that has accumulated. Finally eyeing a tube that fits the description of their last encounter, Omniglot sends in his robotic little nanites to do their magic. His eyes almost explode when he realizes that he has only around 20 seconds before detonation. Trying to hurry the disarming procedures of the bots, the time ticks away second by second. Realizing he may not be able to disarm the triple detonation device in time, he motions for the others to take cover as he pops the top off and sees his work with his naked eyes. Eyeing the piece of paper wrapped around a sea of grey plastic explosives, Omniglot tries to weigh his choices as the timer ticks down to 5…..4….3….2…1….

With quick thinking, Omniglot reaches in and snatches the paper file within the mailing tube and throws the bomb in the corner of the room where it bounces ever so strategically behind one of the mail storage shelves. The blast was deafening as a huge explosion ripped through the air and blew out the back wall of the building. Not wanting to waste any time the team slips away using the smoke and debris as cover for their escape. Omniglot is a little worse for wear as the others help him to their vehicle. Ursa jabs two Stimpacks into the multilingual agent who quickly begins to feel the effects and regains almost all his stamina. On the way back to London, the team looks at their third document which appears to be the same as the previous two from Damien Ashburner except the set of numbers in the lower portion of the document are different.

London, England

Both teams rendezvous at one of the agency safe houses where they unfurl the three documents out on a table. Seeing the three sets of codes on each piece of paper, they begin to work in teams of two to see if they can crack the cypher. Hours pass by as they diligently work their magic looking up different cypher techniques and orientations. Agent Badger is the one who finally begins to see a pattern in the sets of numbers and combines a Caesar Shift with a fence post cypher technique to finally break the code. The numbers relate to plots on the document and when connected, create an image of some unknown location. An island runs through their heads and after a little while and some shrewd web navigation, they bring up a topographical image of Monroo Island which is one of the many small islands comprised of the Spratly Island chain in the South China Sea. A quick phone call and the team finds themselves 30,000 feet in the air of a private jet flying to a jump-off point near this mysterious island.

Monroo Island

The team gears up in a chopper as they fly through the morning air. Arriving just out of sight, they lower an inflatable assault boat into the water and make their way to the island’s beach front. It’s already hot and humid out in the wee morning hour when they land ashore. Many sets of foot prints can be seen on the beach but all of them seem to lead to one location into the lush green jungle. Cautiously approaching the jungle edge, they begin to hear a low guttural hum emanating from within. Pops of small explosions peek here and there as they make their way to what appears to be a highly electrified fence some 10-12 feet tall. In front of them is a metal gate that is not locked. Suddenly a scream of some kind bursts some 100 yards away. Ursa takes point and opens the gate with the team following. Almost thinking to transform into a monkey for a better bird’s eye view Ursa is struck in the chest by something round, mushy and wet. He turns around to the others and their eyes widen and mouths gaping open from the sight. Blood is splattered all over Ursa, but not from him. A severed bloody head of a monkey rests at Ursa’s feet with its eyes open, staring directly up at him. What evils lie in wait?

Pulling deep within, the team saunters on through the open gate and through the dense forest. A small well worked trail leads to a small metal building. They investigate and find what appears to be a checkpoint or gatehouse which is eerily abandoned. Sounds resonate through the treetops as birds and monkeys dance from limb to limb. The hot sticky weather makes for hard passage through the foliage but the team moves on. Shortly after following the trail, they come upon another building which is much larger than the previous. Splitting up into two teams, one taking a look around the building and another inside, they enter in to what appears to be a barracks. The snap of a branch alerts the outside team of appending danger when they spy a military looking soldier in the far brush eyeing their movement. Without warning, all hell breaks loose as the team rushes into action to overcome their foes. “All casualty limitations have been lifted for this mission”, keeps running through their heads as they engage the enemy with fierce reckless abandon. The soldier didn’t even see the final blow coming as Agent Stuntman rushed in to completely decimate the spotter. Flying back some 15 feet, he lands in the deep thicket of grass. Suddenly, his body is ripped from its spot and dragged into the undergrowth. Stuntman’s eyes widen as his prey has just become someone else’s dinner. The other team inside the building finagles their way through the rooms, leaving the Russian mercenary, Urza, to keep watch outside. Sensing a presence, he calls upon his inner strength and transforms into a tiger as he knows the beasts’ agile frame will suit him well in this environment. Seconds later while peering out into the jungle through his newly tiger form eyes, he spies another soldier in the lurch. Not able to speak or communicate verbally to the others in a language they would recognize, he readies himself to rend his victim to the ground. A quick sniff of the air and Urza knows he and the soldier are not alone. Just then a four-legged beast lurches from the dense jungle and attacks the unknowing soldier. The mouth of the creature appears to split open into four separate sections of long protruding tentacles of sorts, which quickly wrap themselves around the military fighter, gagging his resistance, and carrying him off into the dark deep reaches of the island’s interior.

We had 1 casualty on this mission as the team cleared out what looks like the beginnings of a deadly plague of regenerating acid saliva tentacle attacking darkness. I hope everyone had fun playing this mission.
